Andrea Graziano
Andrea Graziano was a reporter for the Journal News in Rockland and Westchester counties for eight years, covering everything from schools to immigration to breaking news. Prior to that she worked at a chain of weekly newspapers on Long Island's North Shore and as a freelance writer for Yankees Magazine. She has a Master's Degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. When not working, she enjoys reading, running and spending as much time as possible with her husband and two sons.
Andrew Meola
Andrew worked as a sports reporter for the Naples Daily News before joining Main Street Connect. He is a Brooklyn native and proud graduate of Syracuse University. He's always happy to talk sports (and can spend a lot of time doing it, too). E-mail Andrew at ameola@mainstreetconnect.us.
Art Cusano
A long-time Hudson Valley resident, Art worked for the now-defunct North County News in Yorktown as a reporter and photographer for three years before joining Main Street Connect. Art studied anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, usually between track meets and trips to the beach. He received his Master’s Degree from the Northeastern University School of Journalism in Boston in 2007. Art is an avid runner who has recently participated in the Marine Corps Marathon and the Philadelphia Half Marathon. He plans to run the Utica Boilermaker 15K and the ING New York City Marathon in the coming year.
Bob Dumas
Award-winning journalist Bob Dumas’ writing and editing career spans more than 25 years. He is the recipient of the prestigious Maggie Award for outstanding magazine writing, and has won several New York State Press Association honors for his work in community-based journalism. He was named “Who’s Who in Aquatics” by Aquatics International magazine for his for exposes on safety in the swimming pool industry. He has written for national trade magazines for one of the largest business-to-business publishers in the U.S., and most recently was the deputy editor for North County News in Yorktown. He graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego with a BA in Communication.
Brian Donnelly
Brian Donnelly is a life-long resident of Mamaroneck/Larchmont and joins the Main Street Connect team to cover both municipalities. Brian graduated magna cum laude from Iona College and interned for the Fox News Channel. After college, he became a freelance writer for the health section of the Fox News Channel website. Brian most recently worked at the public-access channel LMC-TV as an audio-visual technician, filming local board meetings, high school sports and community events.
Brian Marschhauser
Brian has been a Westchester resident for over 20 years. He attended Yorktown High School before studying journalism at Purchase College. At school, he contributed to student-run publications and gained newsroom experience interning at ESPN Radio in New York City. In addition to writing for The Daily Chappaqua, Brian has also written for The Source magazine. During his time at the magazine, he had the privilege of covering concerts and sporting events from press row while also interviewing Grammy-winning musicians, world champion boxers and NBA all-stars.
Carli-Rae Panny
Carli-Rae has somehow honed her inquisitive skills by working in local news. Currently an assistant editor at Main Street Connect in Westchester, she has also covered news in Putnam County, where she composed a series of investigative stories that criticized wasteful government spending and political corruption throughout New York State. In 2011, Carli-Rae's investigative works received recognition from the New York Press Association for excellence in in-depth reporting. She is a graduate of Sacred Heart University and also completed a year-long internship with FOX News Channel, most notably interning for the network’s media relations department.
Christine Loughran
"Before she started her work as a writer for Main Street Connect this past June, Christine Loughran was an education beat writer for Patch.com. She also completed her undergraduate study with a Mass Communication degree from State University of New York at Oneonta in May 2010. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outside, reading and with her friends and family."
Danny LoPriore
Born and raised in Westchester County, Danny began a journalism career as a newsboy, then copy boy for Yonkers Herald Statesman. He attended Yonkers Public Schools and Valley Forge Christian College. After a career in real estate management, Danny became a sports writer and editor for Gannett Newspapers 1989-2004. He wrote and self published "Seasons in Sanctuary" in 2007 and worked as a free lance writer for several publications through 2011.
Debra West
Debra West has covered news in Westchester for more than 20 years. She served for four years as associate editor of the Editorial Board of The Journal News. Before that, West wrote daily breaking news and feature articles about Westchester for the New York Times, contributing to nearly every section of the paper. Her first journalism job was for the old Reporter Dispatch. West has a B.A. from the University of Arizona and a Master's in English from New York University.
Jessica Glenza
Jessica Glenza has lived in Croton-on-Hudson for the last three years. Originally from Florida, she moved here to study journalism at Purchase College. She recently graduated summa cum laude with a major in journalism and a minor in Spanish. Before working for Main Street Connect, she interned at WMNF in Tampa, Florida, and also covered the entertainment industry as an intern at Back Stage Newspaper's East Coast edition.
Justin Stock
Justin has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Arizona and is excited to continue his passion for and experience in the field with The Daily New Rochelle and Main Street Connect. Justin earned his first professional journalism experience as an intern at Hearst Newspaper's - the Stamford Advocate. He was then a copy editor at the University of Arizona's campus newspaper, the Arizona Daily Wildcat, while also serving as a reporter and copy editor at the U of A's online magazine Borderbeat.net. He was also a copy desk intern on the Tucson Citizen copy desk. Before joining Main Street Connect, Justin was a community reporter at The Altamont News St. Elmo Banner.
Katherine Pacchiana
Katherine Pacchiana is a graduate of Hobart & William Smith Colleges and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She also studied photography at the International Center of Photography and recently exhibited photos from a 2000-mile trip along historic Route 66. She lives in North Salem, where she rides dressage on a handsome black stallion named Night Music. Before working for The Daily North Salem and The Daily Somers she worked for Patch, covering Brewster, Southeast, Peekskill and Yorktown. She also spent three years living in Rome, where she perfected her Italian as a bi-lingual tour guide and, most importantly, learned to cook from an Italian "nonna."
Meredith Shamburger
Meredith is a New York transplant from Texas. She graduated in May 2011 from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science. She has interned at The Dallas Morning News and Park Cities People. She also spent four years working at her college newspaper, The Daily Campus.
Patrick Stapleton
Patrick Stapleton joined Main Street Connect as the Pelham reporter in December of 2011. Prior to working for Main Street Connect, he was a freelance reporter for Patch.com. Stapleton is a 2011 graduate of The Catholic University of America where he earned a B.A. degree in English Language and Literature. While at Catholic, he wrote for the school paper and served as the assistant news editor during his senior year. The Rockland County resident is excited to be reporting on Pelham and all that it has to offer.
Redmond Zmudzien
Redmond Zmudzien is originally from Braintree, Mass. and recently graduated from Quinnipiac University's School of Communications with a degree in Print Journalism. He has interned with companies such as Major League Lacrosse and Inside Hockey and was also the sports editor of Quinnipiac's independent online newspaper, The Quad News.
Rick Pezzullo
Rick has been a journalist since the age of 14 when he started writing sports for his hometown weekly in northern Westchester. After graduating from Pace University, (where he was editor of the campus newspaper), he joined the same newspaper as a full-time news reporter and became its managing editor in 1996, a position he proudly held for 10 years. Under his supervision, the North County News was honored with numerous New York Press Association awards and was widely recognized as one of the top weeklies in the state. Following a three-year stint working as a communications coordinator for elected officials in Westchester, Rick became editor of the monthly The Hudson Independent, which serves three Rivertowns. He has been married to his college sweetheart, Jacqueline, for 23 years and has two great kids: Cheryline, a senior at Cornell, and Ricky, who plans to attend UPenn in the fall.
Robert Michelin
Robert is originally from Vernon, NJ and is a recent graduate of Quinnipiac University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in legal studies. While at Quinnipiac, Robert was a sports editor for The Quad News, Quinnipiac's independent online newspaper. Robert interned with HockeyBarn.com as the beat writer for Connecticut Division 1 high school ice hockey. Most recently, Robert worked with the Torrington Titans of the Northeast Collegiate Baseball League and contributed to the production of the documentary "T-Town", which captured the Titans as the first ever crowd-sourced baseball team. Sue Guzman
Sue Guzman is a 30-year news veteran. She began her career in radio news and has served as news editor and anchor for the Imus-in-the-Morning program, field reporter and news anchor for 1010 WINS Radio and for the past eight years has been the Westchester Bureau Chief for WHUD Radio. A digital entrepreneur as well as a journalist, Guzman is the founder and editor-in-chief of Westchester News Online. Guzman is a graduate of Fordham University and a lifelong Westchester resident.
Tony Davenport
Tony Davenport has three decades of journalism experience, including 15 years as a Westchester County news leader, directing coverage for the Gannett Westchester newspapers in a career that propelled him to the position of city editor when that newspaper dominated every community in the county. Davenport enhanced his newsroom management skills as managing editor at the Journal News in West Nyack, NY, and as associate metro editor at the New York Post. He gained valuable digital experience at AOL, where for the past two years he helped edit the popular Wallet Pop section on personal finance, directing the staff on writing, editing and optimizing content for search traffic. Davenport is a graduate of St. John's University in Queens and received advanced training at the Poynter Institute program for managing editors.
Tony Pinciaro
Tony Pinciaro has been covering local sports in Westchester County since 1985 -- his senior year in college. Tony worked at The Journal News for 18 years covering high school and local sports. His beats included field hockey, wrestling and softball. He was the winner of the Julius D'Agostino Lifetime Achievement Award for his coverage of, and contribution to, Rockland County wrestling. Before joining Main Street Connect, Tony covered wrestling and softball for MSG Varsity.
