NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Con Edison crews have moved to replace old power lines with newer ones on side streets off of Baraud Road near the border of New Rochelle and Scarsdale Wednesday.

Baraud Road, previously limited to one lane is now open again in borth directions.

Work is being done on the lines to prevent future power outages amid rough weather the community has experienced in recent months.

Work started in October and should be completed by the end of the year.

The repairs have affected Baraud Road and Candlewood Road in New Rochelle.

Sage Circle, Sturbridge Place, Tewekesbury Road, Williamsburg Close and several other streets in Scarsdale are also included.
